Corbett Building Implosion — May 1988

The Corbett Building stood where Pioneer Place is now and had downtown Portland’s only Fred Meyer on its first floor (if you don’t count the Stadium location). The most interesting thing about this one is that it starts with someone’s HOME MOVIE of the event. This was a Goodwill find and I don’t know who originally made it, nor do I know how they had access to the roof of the Nordstrom building. Do you recognize the writing on this tape? Is it yours?
