Tom Peterson Gives Away Vacations — 1988

Which of these things would you rather have: a clock, a watch, a flattop buzzcut, or an expense-paid trip to Hawaii? Depending on your personal feelings about the clock, this may be the best thing Tom ever gave away. Ordinarily free vacations are contest prizes given to a handful of people, not just ANYONE who walked in and bought a stereo system.

I have yet to see a second ad with this kind of giveaway again, so this was the only time, most likely because it was a financial loss.
