KPDX 49 — Home of the STARS! (1983)

In February of 2018 KPDX 49 ceased to be its own entity when it was completely absorbed into its sister network and recast as “FOX 12 Plus.” This week, we pour out a forty (nine) and add many KPDX promo commercials to the FPO archive in its memory.

“Home of the Stars” was KPDX’s first branding campaign, which lasted at least two years (this airing comes from KPDX’s coverage of the 1985 Rose Festival). It used this slogan to push the movies it aired every night, being an independent station at birth.
