MIX 106 Medley — 1991

MIX 106 (1990-1991 RIP) was the first in a trend of at least seven separate Portland radio stations throughout the 90s that called themselves “MIX” and lasted no longer than a year. It’s also the first radio station I can ever remember being attached to, but don’t ask me for an explanation as to why.

There’s only one MIX 106 TV ad in existence and it doesn’t even tell you what kind of music is on the station (smooth moves, Ex-Laxes). Fortunately, bits and snips of MIX 106 were scattered throughout some audio tapes I made as a kid around that time, so I alone can show you what MIX was like. Behold!
