Woman Rants Against Mandatory Seatbelts — 1990

Some people are so terrified of the government that they believe ANY new law, no matter how necessary or unavoidable, will send society down a slippery slope into dictatorship. Case in point. Don’t be this lady.

The ballot measure discussed here did pass, and it became the law to wear a seat belt in the state of Oregon. And you know what, Charlie Brown? The world didn’t come to an end.
